These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Free Code Notes website (“Site”), operated by VR-Rathod. By accessing or using this Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. About This Site
Free Code Notes is a free, educational programming knowledge base. All content is provided for learning and reference purposes only. The Site is free to use, and no payment is required for any feature.
2. User Accounts (GitHub Sign-In)
a) Account Creation
You may optionally sign in using your GitHub account to enable cloud bookmark syncing. By doing so, you authorize us to access limited GitHub profile data (username, display name, and avatar) as described in our Privacy Policy.
b) Your Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the security of your GitHub account
- All activity that occurs under your sign-in session
- Signing out on shared or public computers
c) Account Termination
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access at any time if you violate these Terms. You may also delete your data at any time by contacting us.
3. Acceptable Use
By using this Site, you agree not to:
- Use the Site for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or Supabase database
- Scrape, copy, or redistribute our content in bulk without permission
- Upload, transmit, or distribute any malicious code or harmful content
- Impersonate any person or entity
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
4. Intellectual Property
a) Site Content
All written content, notes, and documentation on this Site are the intellectual property of VR-Rathod unless otherwise attributed. You may read and reference content for personal study. You may not republish or sell the content without written permission.
b) Open Source Code
The underlying website framework (Quartz) is open source under the MIT License. Our custom modifications and components remain our property.
c) Third-Party Content
Some content references third-party libraries, tools, and technologies. All trademarks and brand names belong to their respective owners.
5. Bookmark Feature
The bookmarking feature is provided “as is” as a convenience tool. We do not guarantee:
- 100% uptime of the cloud sync feature (powered by Supabase’s free tier)
- That your bookmarks will never be lost due to service outages
We recommend periodically exporting important bookmarks if you rely on them heavily.

The content on this Site is provided for educational purposes only.
- We make no warranties that the content is complete, accurate, or up to date
- Programming practices and technologies change rapidly; always verify with official documentation
- We are not liable for any errors, omissions, or results obtained from the use of this information
- Use of any techniques described in the Cybersecurity or Ethical Hacking sections must comply with all applicable laws. Unauthorized hacking is illegal.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, VR-Rathod shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of this Site, including but not limited to loss of data, profits, or business opportunities.
